Directory Hotlist fix

Post by *zinvob »

When using the Directory Hotlist and the list is a bit large, I want the ability to enter the first characters, making the list activate the item having these as the first characters. This works as it is, except that you can't use the 'a' and 'c' characters. This is because you have made them a shortcut to "Add current dir" and "Configure". I want you to remove these shortcuts, to make this functionality work. Without this functionality the Hotlist is very slow to use.

Also, this fix is extremely easy to implement.

BTW. Could you please find a solution to the SecureFTP problem soon. I really would like to use your client on my secure FTP's.

I would be happy to pay for any updates having this FTP functionality.

You can use for some items shortcut for the second or next letter - just type & sing before the letter. Having title like this:
A&ny item
you will get:

- Any item

When you type 'n' you will go to this item.

Otherwise you can edit the lng file you are using and change the shorcut for the corresponding lines (1146 & 1148)

I also wish that the A and C shortcut on the hotlist should be removed, when someone finished modifying the hotlist, the A and C shortcut will rarely be used!

And ALSO the R shortcut on the hotlist, it's &Remove current dir.

You can get the original file for TC 5.51 (I don't have one for 6.0 yet) at http://thehacker.host.sk/myfiles/ and there wcmd_eng.zip . You can change the strings there or yuo can simply remove all the ones you don't change and TC will use its internal ones in that case. The only drawback is that the "Binary" string in the Compare by contents window won't be shown, as far as MAxwish and I have researched.

Yes, however, there is currently no workaround.
