Ctrl-Up for .lnk files

A neat feature I recently discovered and do not want to miss any more is the possibility to open a new tab with the archive or folder under the cursor by pressing ctrl-up or in the other pane by pressing ctrl-shft-up.

Could this feature be extended to .lnk files, so that I can open the target path in a new tab?

Kind Regards,

Brahman

That already works for me, at least for real paths (not virtual folders)...

It Ctrl+UP works here for FolderShortcuts.lnk, just not for other types. I take it the suggestion would be to use the "Start in" Field of the shortcut if the Shortcut's "Target" doesn't contain a valid directory?

Anyone see any possible problems from this?

Yes that is what I meant: Fileshortcut.lnk and ctrl-up opens file's path, if not valid then "Start in" path. (I did not try on folder shortcuts, therefore was not aware it worked).
