I compare two Chinese txt fils in Japanese OS,both sides shows messy codes. There are only four encodings to choose but no Chinese code page.
Since lister supports more encodings, could you add this function to compare dialog, please?

Support. Perhaps it is possible to call an external tool with such feature but I like internal compare tool.

I often need to switch font to OEM in order to compare in DOS codepage, so encoding change possibility in compare tool would be nice for me too. And not only for me.

Compare doesn't support code pages so far - you have to choose a FONT which contains the right encoding, and then choose the encoding in that font.
I plan to convert the compare tool to Uniscribe as I did for Lister. But it's very complex, so it didn't make it into TC 7.5 yet.
