stalls when navigatin through directories on win7

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

stalls when navigatin through directories on win7

Post by *kelvbran »

This seems to be happening a lot usually when moving to a parent directory (not necessarily the root directory, and not network drives). I also turned my antivirus to see if that was the cause of the problem, but the stalls persisted.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

:) Hello !

• As far as I understood :
Stall = freeze¦blocking…
- Further, I don't get the issue either, and moreover I don't hold Win7…

I use win 7 here but cant confirm any delays at folder change.

Perhaps its related with the delay here.

It happens while navigating through folders... just while using the program regularly, no special conditions (at least none that I noticed). Especially when moving to parent directories, or moving to a different drive.

The program locks up sometimes to the point that it is reported as "not responding" by windows.

Strange. Cant confirm.

Do you have any Plugins?

You can try to start TC with an empty ini. Does it also happen then?

No problems here either, Windows 7 RTM from MSDN.

Maybe you can find out the reason with process monitor from www.sysinternals.com.
