TC 7.5 Final FTP (Auto) for Russain shows Chineese Symbols

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC 7.5 Final FTP (Auto) for Russain shows Chineese Symbols

Post by *zmische »

When I set "Autodetect (Including UTF8)" in FTP setting I see Chineese symbols insted of Russian characters in dir names on FTP, but when I set cp1251 Encoding in FTP setting for File Names - It's OK.

That seems to be the problem - the server seems to be written for an older version of Total Commander, which didn't support Unicode yet. Either ask the server writer for an update, or turn OFF Unicode in the configuration of the connection.
