Ctrl+A in some dialogs out of order

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Ctrl+A in some dialogs out of order

Shortcut Ctrl+A is not functioning in some cases, for example while making/editing directory or file.

It is a feature of Edit boxes. :) More misfeature I think.

Open Win+R and try to select text by Ctrl+A - same thing.

I guess standard controls that have no multiline property can't select all text on Ctrl+A.

In editing file name it works, but it is something else. So it is not possible in future?

I don't know why in-place edit window have such feature - perhaps Ghisler added it for some reasons.
BTW, you may use some kind of script that will send EM_SETSEL window message with start pos 0 and end pos -1 to edit window when you press Ctrl+A.
