add randomly sort files (in menu 'show')

Post by *GeminiAlpha »

Burning a directory filled with many mp3 files to a CD but, in randomly order is a problem. Or do you happen to know a tool?
It would be nice to have a random sort function, added to menu "show", just below CTRL+F3-CTRL+F7, integrated in TC.

Thank you, forwarding me to the right thread!

Installation succesful, but...
which command/formula should I enter in "Field Contents" to get random numbers in that column?

Got it via pulldown menu! [=filesys.random nr]

Rudolf.

*Update for those who look for this article in 2021 :) *

The functionality has been integrated in TC itself (tested in Version 10.00). So you don't need any extra plugin nowadays.

Just type [=tc.random number] in the field content and you're good to go. Image: https://imgur.com/a/2p7kopx
