Hello, for a couple months or so i have been trying my best to help my favorite PC program TC to get even better by involving myself with my ideas. But feel little bit disappointed with lack of response to my ideas being implicated in the actual program.

And some days ago i wrote something about getting keyboard shortcut and Balderstrom wrote to my request: "I believe there are still a handful of hardcoded keyboard shortcuts that never got an actual usable cm_command. Which as you see can be an annoyance."

And this made me think about http://www.ghisler.com/history.txt that i love, its good reading for finding out what’s new in TC without hanging out on the forum following what happening on every change. But many times when i read in the history file i been thinking it’s a lot of fixes and sometimes it even takes some time to find what’s NEW or Added as its call on that file.

So i was bored (obviously) and wanted to have a look how many New functions being added every year... If it’s getting less new functions being added and how big chance i actually have if i do a request for a function and it’s going to be added to TC!

So i made a little graph of every new function being added and every fix of TC using the history.txt as my guide.

And i notice that not really less functions added its just A LOT more fixes being added every year.

And finial I just want to say it's quite impressive graph!..
Ghisler is making many changes and fixes every year. Hats off!

Tanx for keeping up the good work!.

Interesting, up until 2008 the Fixes/Added seem directly proportional. Yet in 2008-2009 the Fixes skyrocket and Added features drops like a stone. Perhaps due to Win7 | Win 64bit.

Please notice that most fixes are made during alpha and beta testing - that is mostly fixes for errors being introduced by new features in the developing phase - hardly fair to count all of them.

There are not so many fixes crossing major versions.

Due to insanely perfectionist alpha testers. ;)

That's true, most bugs in 2008 and 2009 were discovered while 9 private beta versions of TC 7.04 and 17 private beta versions of TC 7.50.

Nice graph :)

One thing is important to remember: it does not indicate complexity of added / fixed things at all.
