Pseudo-drive in SFTP plugin

Would it be possible to let the SFTP plugin create a pseudo-drive like the builtin FTP does?
First of all let me state that I would welcome such a pseudo drive letter as well.
You may like to have a look here and see that there might be others supporting your idea as well.
