U can't in TC. TC Lister API doesn't allow multiple tabs. Maybe Ghisler can enable/add such API? i would use.

thats sad...

i tried tLister in the meanwhile, but it will create its own tabs and hence multiple instances of Syn plugin... (at least i guess...). Not exactly what i was looking for.

i just found out that you support TAIL.
Thats nice for viewing log files that are currently being written to.

Is there any feature that lets me put Filter on the lines? So that e.g. if a certain word is found in a line the line is highlighted in a custom color?

thx

1. I recommend LogViewer: uvviewsoft.com
2. "Logfiles" lexer supports words hiliting, you may adjust this lexer.

When you jump with 'find next' from one occurrence to the next, the cursor (current line) will be at the lower window margin. I would like to have an option so that the cursor (current line) will not be at the lower window margin but 10 line above it. This would make it easier to examine the context where something is found.

I have made a video. Unfortunately the forum does not allow me to post URLs, because I've registered just today :(

In the following line, replace "(" with "." to get the URL:

home(arcor(de/wosgien/Project002.uvf

As you can see in the video, it does go to the bottom.

2 lines above the bottom would not be enough for my taste. I would like to have the value configurable.

I'm using SynWrite v.4.5.392

The beta is better. However, it can still happen that the cursor (current line) is only 2 lines above the lower window edge. 2 lines is not enough to examine the context of the occurrence. So you have to scroll. Therefore, I would appreciate if you could add an option to set the value to e.g. 10 instead of hardcoded value 2.

Another unrelated small issue: You cannot configure the background color of non-printable characters (line feed), can you?

Please look at the following screenshot (replace "(" with "." to get the real URL): home(arcor(de/wosgien/screenshot.jpg

I do not want to change the background color of the space (between x and y).
What I want to do is change the background color of the LF character. The background color of the LF character is not the normal background color.

I do not see the same. The minimal offset for Bottm is still 2 (as in the previous beta). Btw: Help --> About still shows 4.5.420. I expected to see some beta version number in that dialog.
