Editors improvement

Hi,

I would like to suggest some improvements to editors:
  • color customization for lister - I am trying to use dark background in most of the apps I am using very often, and it would be a great help if lister had customizable colors (at least foreground & background); please note that I am not suggesting syntax highliting (source code files) just a simple option that will allow people who prefer dark background to save their eyes :)
  • line numbers for lister
  • 'go to line number' (there is 'go to position (%)' but I do not think it is as helpful as 'go to line number')

Find the list---

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

1. You can customize the colours in Lister :
Options >> Configuration >> Color : Use the drop-down list under “Others” Choose “Lister” in it.…

2. Line numbers have been requested already, but the Author is not in favour of. Same for “Go to line #…”.
- There are features which exist in the Universal Viewer Alextp's tool, though.

 Kind Regards,
Claude

Thanks for such a quick answer!

I must have been blind not to see that there is actually possibility to change lister colors :) Thanks a lot!

As for other improvements - that's a pity (for me), but I understand. I have tried a couple of lister plugins, but haven't found one that would really work as I expected. I will give Universal Viewer a chance (looks very promising).

edit:
OK, so I have changed colors for lister, but still in 'compare mode' my lister is configured to use white background (I really hate it), and it seems there is no possibility to change background color for comparisons using lister. Could this suggestion be then taken under consideration?

Kind regards,
Maciej

If you are using TC 7.55 beta 1, there are new colors setting for compare by contents, CompareDifferenceBack, CompareNormalBack, CompareNormalText, CompareSelBack, CompareSelText

These colors cannot set from TC, you can use Configuration Editor to set them, but you must download updated data files for TC 7.55
