Inconsistancy

Post by *JuggernauT »

When I'm browsing an archive that has another archive in it, and I enter that archive as well, TC 6.01 inconsistantly changes directory when going up in the hierarchy again.
If I'm fast, I get to the temp dir on my C: drive where the second archive was unpacked, but if I wait a short time the path will be corrected and then when I go up everything is correct.

How is it supposed to work? My friend claims that this worked flawlessly in earlier versions, but I'm not sure...

Don't be afraid to ask me for more information, if you think this is unclear in any way.
cheers,

Well, it is supposed to work this way in case you want to get to the TEMP directory. To "fix" this, simply use F2 (or Ctrl-R) to get out of an archive or press Ctrl-PageUp (or Backspace) slowlier.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

The funny this is that if you double click on updir with the mouse, this "delay" doesn't occur. I remeber reporting this in a mail to Chritian last year, guess he didn't read it :?
Of all the planets I've been to, this one is my favorite.
