*.ini files editor

Post by *Clo »

:D Hello!

¤ It's sometimes necessary to change the *.ini asssociated program (i.e. to edit files > 64 KB under Win 9x) using cm_Associate.
8) Indeed, you choose a good editor, "comfortable" to use.
 But TC ignores that editor for its own *.ini files (the menu entry: Configuration  Change Settings files directly).
¤ You get the antiquated Notepad still... Under Win 98, even Ctrl+A is missing!
¤ I'ld wish that Ch. Ghisler will change to the associated program. Not a huge change , isn't it?
Friendly, Claude

Use an Editor like PSpad (free) or Textpad wich comes with a replacement
for Notepad. This works fine for me in XP.
It not only solves the ini file edit in Tcmd but also uses my favorite editor
any time windows tries to open Notepad.

:D Hello!
¤ Please, could you give a link or so to get it?
:?: Is it multilingual? Though I'm not too bad at English, I prefer to work with a program in my mother tongue... and correct the French language file when it's pretty bad!
:) Glad to hear more,
friendly regards,
Clo

Pspad is a good editor which has also great INI-file editing capabilities (Code-Explorer, Ctrl-Shift+E).

Download: http://www.pspad.com

Pspad is multilingual and freeware.
