Synchronize all directories from list

Hello,

it would be nice to have the possibility to start synchronizing all directories from the saved list at once.

I am using SyncDirs for synchronizing to my local drive from more different drives and folders, but manually starting all syncs takes a bit too long, and I always tend to forget some of them.

Or is there already some kind of solution for this? I could not find it in the forums and tutorials...

Thanks

If you're using NTFS file system, you may use junctions to make it easier. Just create two top-level folders and put into it junctions to folders that should be synchronized. So you'll get two top-level folders to sync and their subfolders will have contents of folders from your list. Under Windows 7 you may use symbolic links instead of junctions - this allows to use any file systems for links target folders. Then you may save sync template and load it using a buttonbar button.

Thanks, yap, would be a good idea, unfortunately Junction points do not work for network drives on XP. (At least I could not make them work...)

Yes, junctions doesn't support network, they support only direct NTFS-NTFS redirection.

Unfortunately TC doesn't support sync between two virtual panels too. It would solve your problem otherwise (if you don't require compare by contents).
