BUG: MRT & MultiRenameLoadSettings

Post by *Sir_SiLvA »

My Setting:
wincmd.ini - [Configuration] wrote:MultiRenameLoadSettings=default
wincmd.ini - [Rename] wrote:default_name=[N]
default_ext=[E]
default_params=0|1|1|2
BUG:
When you now start the MRT you see that the counter [C] should have at least 2 diggits, but when you enter [Cx]
(where x is a number between -1 and 10) the 2 diggits setting is totally ingnored.

When you define counter setting directly, the define counter fields are ignored.
TC Help wrote:[C10+5:3] Paste counter, define counter settings directly. In this example, start at 10, step by 5, use 3 digits width.
Partial definitions like [C10] or [C+5] or [C:3] are also accepted.

Well, you just have to decide to use the UI-based settings OR the direct settings by parameter.
This way you get always the same reliable result for a saved setting.

A mix of both will be very confusing, having different results for the same saved setting.

Counter has 3 settings and if I set one directly TC should
still use the other two as visible there IF NOT it is CONFUSING...
Well, you just have to decide to use the UI-based settings OR the direct settings by parameter.
Must be just me who thinks THIS is the worst way to do
because the most comfortable way would be
to use the UI-based settings AND the direct settings by parameter.
Sorry I dont see why the monetary behaviour is accepted as okay
as I dont understand why 2 other parameters are ignored when I set 1 directly...

Case closed and ready to be moved, closed or be deleted...
