[x64 8.0b1] Command line start

Post by *Laszlo »

The main exe don't use the command line parameters, like:
totalcmd.exe /i=(path) /F=(path)

And won't even start with this.

Tested in XP x64 and cannot confirm. Here TC starts correctly and uses exactly the INI files I specified via command-line.

Laszlo,
Works fine here, Win7 Home Premium x64.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Please give more details for "/i=(path)".

Is it pointing to a folder like "Program Files"?
I'm asking, because at x64 we may run into problems with the x32 and the x64 one.

The exact command:

f:\utils\totalcmd\totalcmd.exe /i=f:\utils\totalcmd\wincmd.ini /F=f:\utils\totalcmd\wcx_ftp.ini

Works flawless on TC 7.56a.

Is there any chance the problem is wincmd.ini related? I deleted my wincmd.ini file, and now it works great with a new wincmd.ini.

BTW: as the topic title is "[x64 8.0b1] Command line start"
you may try:
f:\utils\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE /i=f:\utils\totalcmd\wincmd.ini /F=f:\utils
to start the 64bit version of TC.

Yes, I know, replaced the .exe with the 64 bit one, but because of the not working, I changed it back. But now it works. It was an ini problem. Or I don't know what. :)

So can you give me more details what the problem was? Maybe some specific setting in your ini?

Sorry, I have no idea, I deleted the old ini file. But everyone who tried said its okay, so it must have been my fault.

It may really be your ini - please check whether you have some backup of it somewhere...
