Shift+Click doesn't always work

Post by *Thany »

You know, to select multiple files with mouse and keyboard? TC should select the files from the current selection until where your Shift+Click goes.

It seems that when the file list in which this is done, it doesn't always work when I do this right after giving it the focus. If it doesn't work, it does work if I left-click another file first.

??? That works---

Hi!
• I just tested this kind of selection, that works fine.
- Win 98 SE - TC 6.01
• I never noticed any problem with this function... to use carefully, since if you would press <DEL> by accident -while <SHIFT> is pressed too -, the whole files of the selection would be lost definitely.

I know it works fine, but *sometimes* it doesn't. I can't really explain why or when exactly. The above description is when it happens (to me) most of the times.

I'm runnign XP with TC 6.01 btw..

the key?

• Simply: that could be a problem with the <SHIFT> key!

• Even with a "good" new keyboard, it no longer works properly at home more than a week, because I use to type strongly too much!
¤ I mean: the left-side Shift-key. Try to use the other???

Ah come on! My shift key is just fine!

Believe me, it's a problem in TC, not in my hardware.

:)   I believe you, I just try to find a cause... I don't use to doubt that the users tell.

Now, just wait and see, maybe someone has(had) the same issue?

Maybe singleclickstart=1 in wincmd.ini? Just a guess.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
