TOTAL COMMANDER 8 B2 x64
i am not able to use ftpdrive any more.
the Z: drive where it is mapped , it's empty
ftp drive from here:
http://www.killprog.com/
this is working fine, on the 7.5x one
Also on a side note.
I am disappointed by this last release. I have been asking, and not only me, for several tweaks to the FTP section on TC and it seems the same FTP since version 5 is still in.
I need "silent update" of files modified online. It's been requested so many damn times.
FTP DRIVE not working any more (might be a x86 / x64 proble)

And did you notice how the drive is empty also when accessed from any other 64-bit application? I don't think you have any chance with x64 TC.
I didn't find how exactly FTP Drive works. I don't see it using any proper filesystem driver. There's only small hint at homepage: "This is achieved by emulation of virtual drive, on which FTP servers are placed on the Native NT API level.", so it seems like some API hooking. And in that case it's hooking just WOW64 and will work for 32-bit apps only.

Does it work with 64-bit Explorer, or "file open" dialog in a 64-bit program?

No, it doesn't. As I wrote before, "any other 64-bit application", Explorer included. And when I checked it on XP (required tool does not run on x64 system), there is indeed some hooked API. And since FTP Drive is 32-bit, on 64-bit system it hooks only into WOW64. There's nothing TC64 can do about it, it's not bug, it's expected behaviour.

I see - so all you can do is ask the author for a 64-bit version.
