Some separators missing in main window

Post by *Sob »

(split from other thread where it shouldn't have been in the first place ;)

Only 32-bit version with classic theme has it correct. Different button separators are cut off in others. Image name says beta 1, but it's the same for 2 and 3.

What are your settings in Configuration\Layout: "Flat icons" and "Flat user interface..."?

Sorry, forgot about that. It's clean ini, so flat ui enabled. Only "Flat icons" I see are for drive bar.

Yes, I confirm. But why do you think that this behaviour is "incorrect"? It is just the interface peculiarity.

It doesn't really look to be by design, does it? I'd buy differences between Classic and Aero themes, but then I'd expect it to be the same for both 32 and 64-bit versions. And one more reason, the button is cut when the mouse is above it (see the updated screenshot in the first post). This can't be intentional. :)

I can confirm that the separator on the left wasn't drawn. It's a lazarus problem: I was setting a color for the "brush" object, but the object was set to transparent. Delphi changes this automatically to opaque when setting a color, Lazarus doesn't.

The separator is now drawn in 8.0β4. So, fixed.

Almost, just few details (not that I think it's too important, but since I reported it and can see it, so lets say "for the record"):

Win7 x64, classic theme, TC x64:

1)
- run TC with clean ini
- separator between directory hotlist and history buttons is present
- Ctrl+T for new tab and separator is gone

2)
- run TC with clean ini
- separator between go to drive root and go one level up is present
- disable Flat user interface
- enable Flat user interface
- both separators between buttons are gone

3) (also for 32-bit TC)
- run TC with clean ini
- go to drive root button is still either cut-off one pixel on the left or overlaps with left separator by one pixel (see updated image in the first post)
