Synchronize dirs - showing number of filtered files

Hello Christian,
Please please please change the display of filtered files to something like shown / total:

Code: Select all

Files found: 14 / 530 (Identical: 0 / 7, Different: 14 / 14, Unique left: 0 / 499, Unique right: 0 / 10)
Advantages:
- you see what categories files have been filtered from
- it is consistent with the file panel, showing eg. 23 / 511 b in 2 / 7 file(s)

TIA
Roman

And it doesn't need translation.
Support.

If I deactivate "=" it currently looks like

Code: Select all

Files found: 0 (Identical: 0 , Different: 0, Unique left: 0, Unique right: 0)
This makes me quiet unsure if TC has found no file at all or just no different file. :?:

I support the notation "shown / total" too.

Christian,
Thank you! Even though it seems I have raised the ire of at least half the forum. :(

Cannot confirm this impression.
To the best of my memory, no more than two people expressed their doubts about your suggestion in the German forum. And the motivation was not ire. - This emotion is much less common on Vulcan than on Earth I guess.

Having seen the actual details of Christian's implementation, I might feel inclined to admit that I start liking the additional numbers in the status line of the synchronize dirs window.
- Though, of course, it will be more precise to say that I start realizing why they are useful and informative.

I'm showing two numbers only in the case of a filter for that specific number, otherwise I'm showing just one number. I think that makes it much more readable than showing all numbers.

I agree! It is a smart way to cover both: Information and readablility. :)
