Resolution of compressed TIFs

Post by *Peter »

I use the plugin "wdx4i" http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/wdx4i.html to display a lot of image-properties. But this plugin can not display the resolution of a TIF with "G4 Fax"-compression.

EDIT: I can not display the resolution if the TIF has also EXIF-data.

How to solve this job?

regards

Peter

This is what FileDesc plugin together with Desc_Graphics.dll displays

Code: Select all

3332 x 4726, Black and White (1 bit)
400 x 400 DPI
Author: soft**** GmbH
Software: ** ** **
It is the only plugin I found that displays the DPI. Not sure if it is still supported and officially available as there have been some legal issues with Desc_Graphics.dll. Alex should know better?

Actually 400DPI is displayed by jpg-comment.wdx (Exif.Image.XResolution, Exif.Image.YResolution) and exif.wdx (XResolution, YResolution), too.

 - time to go to holiday.

Thank you, Thomas. While testing I made 2 mistakes:

- I used Exif 1.47 from http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/exif2.html and thought it is the current one. But it is not and it can not display the resolution. But the real current version is here: http://ghisler.com/plugins.htm#content - and it works.

- Testing the IPTC I removed all EXIF-definitions from jpg-comment.ini some days ago. And yesterday I did not find them

Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

You can rename jpg-comment.ini and ImageMetaData plugin will install a new default ini once it is loaded again.
