When clicking options > color, multiple error messages appear.

Error: String with ID Nr. 1767 not found, please contact author!

The following numbers are:
1768
1769
1770
1771
1760
1761
1762
1763
1764
1765
1766

But after that, the color settings appear.

Confirmed, but only for Beta 18 x64 and only for English language (no problem with German here).

Confirm with internal English (external WCMD_ENG.LNG does not cause this problem).

Very strange indeed - the strings are in the resource script (.rc) and the compiled .res file, but not in the .exe. ???

Confirm the fix in 8.0β19.

Christian, have you out found out what was wrong with linking the .exe, or just worked around the problem? :)

There was an old .res file in the source directory - I really don't know why the linker used that instead of the .res file in the .exe directory...
