LAN plugin doesn't work after upgrading to ICS

Dear All!
If someone has the same problem or the solution for it, please reply!
My gadget is a Samsung Galaxy SII
I used the LAN plugin on the everyday basis before I upgraded from Android ver. 2.3.4 to 4.0.3
After the upgrade it refused to connect to my desktop computer. (Windows XP Home, and the computer's network name is gabor) Error message: Unknown host: smb://gabor/
Nothing else changed, but the os upgrade on my phone.
I tried to delete the connection and create a new one, but it didn't work either.
If I remember well, before the upgrade, the LAN plugin didn't ask for any username or password, just the computer's name to which I wanted to connect.
Now it asks for a user, and suggests to write guest there, but it has no effect. Nothing happens, I still cannot use the LAN plugin.
Please help!
Thank you!
