Feature request: Increase command line length

TC provides a fantastic way of adding multiple filenames, with or without paths, to the command line for use with batch files.

Unfortunately the length of the command line is severely restricted - can this limitation be alleviated?

The current limits in TC appear to be:
Using Enter: 258 characters
Using Shift Enter: 116 characters

Windows 2000 has a limit of 2047 characters and
Windows XP has a limit of 8191 characters, which is shown here:

I'm not suggesting that 8191 be implemented, but perhaps the limit of W2K (2047) or even 1024?

It should be though implemented in a more sophisticated way than just increasing the limit since TC functions on Win9x OSs as well.

I will check that - currently it's limited because some programs may crash with command lines longer than 259 characters.

It was mentioned somewhere else, but I would like to put this suggestion in here.
It has nothing to do with number of characters but has influence on view of this field.
Could the size of Command Line field be extended - path on the left could be made smaller or even disappear - so that command line field is wider.

Well, I personally would like it to dynamically adapt to the path length...
But that wish has been here before and Christian knows about it. (Doesn't mean we can't bring it up again...)

Hello,
I've just wanted to remind Christian of the topic - almost 2 years has passed, but command line length is still limited. What is more important, same limitation applies when passing parameters to external tools - total line length could not exceed ap. 260 characters, even in 6.54.
Christian, are you planning to change this?
