Edit: Total Commander back on Google Play

Edit - it's back as version 1.01!

Unfortunately I had to pull Total Commander from Google Play for now.

Why?
When I tried to add the plugins to Google Play too, I got an error that the app name must not start with com.android. Unfortunately all the plugins start with "com.android.tcplugin.". Changing the name of the plugins has some very bad side effects:
1. While TC can see the renamed plugins, it cannot use them
2. The rename plugins cannot access the settings of the old plugins

I have already added some code to handle 1 and will release a new version soon. Unfortunately I have no idea how to handle 2. Not even TC can access the data of these plugins! I could add functions to pull the data from the plugins, but this would be a security hole when the user stores the passwords without a master password. :(

Any suggestions?

Well, we all know you try to make everything 100%, but maybe you can choose to just leave it as is. For me, i've only got 1 FTP connection and 1 LAN connection saved.

Also the buttonbar and some bookmarks are easily created again..

My guess is that people can accept this inconvenience for automatic updating from the market?!

For now, I will show both plugins in parallel, the old and the new one (when the user has installed both).
Also the buttonbar and some bookmarks are easily created again..
Don't worry, the main program itself didn't use this name prefix, so the settings of Total Commander will be preserved. Just the settings of the plugins cannot be transferred to the newer versions.

I would love automatic updates. You could provide a last manual update with an import and export option.

You do get automatic updates if you install TC from the Google Play store.
