Cannot delete files on Windows Share

I cannot delete files on a share on my PC.

TC Version 1.01 with LAN Plugin 1.01

"Warning Could not delete 1 file(s)/folder(s)!
FILENAME"

Permissions are set okay and I can delete files using Astro file manager.

My usage was moving files from a folder containing Podcasts to a Podcasts folder on the phone SD card. Previously, as you would expect, the files were deleted from PC on completion of the move operation.
Files still copy fine but are not deleted using either the 'move' operation or trying directlety with the 'delete' operation.

Sorry, cannot reproduce, just tried it - both files and folders can be deleted just fine. The remote computer is running Windows XP home.

On your PC:
Make sure samba is installed.

What then works best for me - is to install gnome-system-tools
of which shares-admin is part. shares-admin will let you manage shared folders better than the method using the Nautilus add-on, which does not seem to work consistently for setting up shared folders

On the phone side: in Total Commander install the LAN (Windows Shares) plugin

Server name: put in server name of your computer or IP address
For user name and password fill in your Ubuntu login credentials.

Hopefully now, whenever you are connected to your home network, you can browse and copy files from any shared folder
