Feature request: Lister colour configuration

Post by *foxidrive »

When configuring colours for Lister etc it is difficult to visualise the colours selected. Perhaps the left hand pulldown window (where it might say "Selected text" for example) can be dynamically changed to reflect the current selection of colours.

Edit: It may be nicer to have the colour configuration for Lister within the Lister configuration menu itself.
Assuming the colour changes are dynamic then a document that is opened in Lister could be seen, and the colours evaluated immediately.

Comments appreciated.

Hello,
• I agree and support your wish... The colour-sample fields might be enlarged a bit.
• Besides, the customized colours in the "Win" palette [>>] are lost as so soon as you close the "Options" dialog.
• But yet, there is a trick in programming to avoid this, just a small part of codes... In example, the partner-program "Uniview" pic-viewer keeps alright all customized colours that you define in that palette...

  Kind regards,
Claude

Or maybe a sample of lister's normal text and selected text would be just fine.
Changing the pull down menu is: 1st not easy, 2nd - what would you do if you make black foreground on black background? Only Cancel could help or working like blind man.
Although I do not think this is an urgent or important case. You can just check out the colors by changing in main color settings: Font color and Background. If you like it revert changes and implement them in lister's settings.
