Mouse Wheel Scrolling- Settings?

Post by *zgwstores »

Win 7, 64 Bit
Total Command(X64) 8.01
Not Registered
Microsoft Mouse, Wireless Laser 5000

I had this issue in 7.57a as well.

When I have the directories displayed, I often rotate the mouse wheel to scroll through the files.

However, when I stop moving the wheel, the files continue to scroll. It appears there is a minimum of 21 files that will be scrolled with each detected turn of the wheel.

Is there a way to change/reduce this?

It's probably Windows, not TC thing.
Check your settings: Control Panel - Mouse - Wheel

Mouse Settings.

Regarding mouse settings,

1. This is the only program I have an issue with.
2. Mouse Properties/Wheel/Vertical Scrolling, set to 5th tick of 9.
3. Mouse Properties/Wheel/Vertical Scrolling\Advanced\Accelerated Scrolling, set to 2nd tick of 7.

Also, I just did try a second completely different PC. Downloaded TC 8.01, has a Logitech MS10 mouse. Same issue.

Am I too picky about the scrolling of the mouse? No one else has their screen continue to scroll after stopping their mouse wheel.

Control Panel > System and Security > System
-> Advanced System Settings
-> Tab "Advanced" Performance [Settings]
-> Tab "Visual effects"
- disable: [_] Smooth-scroll list boxes

In windows 10 you need to go the Windows 10 search box, type sysdm.cpl and press Enter. That launches the System Properties dialog box. Click the Advanced tab and click Settings in the Performance section. That brings you to the Performance Options dialog box. Then untick the smooth_scroll list box as described by HolgerK above. (Thanks HolgerK!)

sjxyz,
Or you just type systempropertiesperformance.exe.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
