[BUG]: TC doesn't apply font settings

Sorry, I don't understand the problem. For testing, I have set the font size to 30, and it is applied immediately to both panels, also after restarting TC. There is no indication in the video what font setings you use, and which Andriod version. Can you give me more details?
Btw, how did you manage to get buttons and the statistics window into the taskbar? That would be a nice enhancement for me too...

ICS 4.0.3
this happens only when the last active directory was root file system or any directory in it except mnt/sdcard and mnt/sdcard2

it's ICS, not JB

Just tried that with /data direcrory in one panel - no problem.

well, maybe it's only ICS feature
you saw the video, it's not a mistification
when it occurs home button also does not work
try to open root file system in both panels and restart TCA

i think, i've found the reason. it happens only when "alwaysUseRootMode" is enabled

Yes, I fixed it in beta 3, thanks for the hint about "always root"!
