Again, I sign under Ergo's solution. JohnFredC's proposal is looking like explorer window - and since we have the other pane in TC (which is the default target) I am not sure it is necessary to open such window (not to mention the dalays when opening such window on network or floppy drives). Anyway - still important checkboxes are hidden under button options. This window might be slightly uncomortable for keyboard oriented users.
And I do sign under jb's proposals with warning when truncating >259 chars

I suport the idea. Maybe a combination of the two (minus the redundant parts). Path history is definately a must!

I think we should be careful in our wish list and make a balance between simplicity of the window and quick availability of the most important options (with Alt+Key). A dialog should allow to start the copying and let it go for hours without user actions.
An additional report afterwards (with save ability) would be a big plus.
