Double clicking on a folder

Post by *Victor Warner »

When I double click on a folder TC takes me into the folder but a window appears with the words "no files seleteted!". I must have changed some setting but I cannotd determine how to turn this message off.

Any help much appreciated.

:) Hello !
• Welcome on board !
* Please, verify in <wincmd.ini> if you have the line :

Code: Select all

[Configuration]
.............
SingleClickStart=0

1= A single click starts programs and opens files (Win98 WEB style)
0= Double click starts programs (default)

* If you have that line with "1", change to "0", close / restart TC, then let'us know what happens...

   Kind regards,
Claude

Claude,

Thank you for your quick reply and suggestion. There was no such command. Added it, and set it to 0, restarted TC but problem persists.

Not sure what is the next step.

Try to temporarily move the wincmd.ini away (using explorer, after quitting from TC) to determine if it is a TC setting causing this behaviour.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Victor Warner,
I remember this being answered by Christian a long time ago, I can't find that thread anymore, however. I think it had to do something with a translation program being installed, though. Can you check that?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Yes, it's caused by a Norwegian(?) translation program which tries to translate each word under the cursor where you click. On the click, it seems to send Ctrl+C to Total Commander, which causes this "No files selected" error on the [..] updir item.
