Matthias030 wrote:For SumatraPDF you can use following parameter.
sumatrapdf.exe -esc-to-exit
You need to use it only one time. Now ESC closes program like a TC plugin. Personally I like plugins more than external programs. But Sumatra is faster for opening pdf files and gives a much better visual quality.
At my machine F3 opens SmatraPDF and SHIFT+F3 opens gswlx.
I have to agree. After playing a bit with Sumatra, gsview and pdfview, I'll settle for Sumatra for my F3 "previewing" of pdfs. The plugins pdfview and gsview only give me either a zoomed-in or full page view of the document, resp. Sumatra is fast to open, it's easy to zoom in and out of the document (ctrl+/-) - and with the "-esc-to-exit" option, just what I was after.

Thanks Matthias

Thanks for the update! One small thing: you forgot to change the version number in the About dialog; it still says version 1.08.

As I said in another thread thats a useless effort with an outdated software
and also the need for Ghostscript.
Using SLister plugin together with actual SumatraPDF files works fine in 32/64 bit TC.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69

About outdated software:
1)pdfview.wlx = 23.March.2016 = 150 528 bytes
2)slister.wlx64 = 20.September.2011 = 59904 bytes
So which is better?

A simple answer, you don't understand how it works :)
The SLister plughin itself doesn't change and need no change.
The SumatraPDF files can always be the newest version.
I use its even with the latest SumatraPDF betas.

TC 10.00 64 bits not works with wlx_pdfview_109.zip. After installation of gs9550w64.exe the error is:
"Could not load GhostScript environment!"
From lsplugin.ini (in same dir as wincmd.ini):

Code: Select all

[pdfview]
command=-dSAFER -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=bmp256 -r%3 -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 -sOutputFile=%2 -dFirstPage=%4 -dLastPage=%4 "%1"
resolution=210
exepath=c:\Program Files\gs\gs9.55.0\bin\gswin64c.exe
exepath= does it. But rendering is bad - small skinny fonts! I just can't remember how to set the parameters for Postscript. :? (Current values are very old.)

This solution resolve the problem, but render is really bad - very small fonts, also zoom in and zoom out not work!
