Install without ActiveSync?

Post by *Plenz »

I bought a brand new Acer n30 and I still have problems to run ActiveSync, I get no USB and Bluetooth connection. But this is not the subject of this board.
I downloaded the PPC version of TC, and double clicked on it, something happened, and I read that it will be installed when I use AcctiveSync the next time. Does this mean that I always need ActiveSync if I want to install a program on my PPC? Or is there another way to do it? File transfer via Bluetooth works very well...

You can install it without ActiveSync. Just rename tcmdpocket.exe into tcmdpocket.zip, unpack it into some directory and copy the CAB-file needeed for your PPC (usually this is cecmd.arm.CAB) with any connection. Then start this CAB-file directly on your PPC from Explorer.
