Fehler - Kann Datei/Ordner nicht öffnen!

Post by *franc »

Hallo

Today I have the problem, that Total Commander App 2.91b2 cannot open systemfiles.
I need to show the contents of the file:
/sys/devices/platform/battery/power_supply/battery/BatteryAverageCurrent
to see the charging current for a Tasker-Task.
But when I just tap that file, this error pupes up:
Fehler
kann Datei/Ordner nicht
öffnen!
BatteryAverageCurrent
I can open (show) the file with Root Explorer or in the Terminal Emulator, but not by direkt tapping it in totalcmd app.
If I longpress and do a 'Datei bearbeiten...' and chose totamcmd editor it works though.

Should be a better understandable dialog hier, not just that Fehler kann nicht lesen Dialog.

What should happen when you tap on that file? It doesn't have any extension, so TC cannot open any associated program. What does Root Explorer open?

I expected then at least a message about that.
Maybe "No associated app for this file" or similar.
Best I would find, if totalcmd opens this file with the editor, or let me chose which app.

First I thought it is a "Berechtigungsproblem".

Root Explorer shows on a click an "Open with" Dialog with a list of different options, one of them Text-Viewer.
The chosen option can also made as default option.
