I do regular incremental backups of my data using WinRar which selects only the files with the "archive" attribute set. Very useful. I set Winrar to create a new archive backuping changes during the day, so my changes are not overwritten. It helped me a few times.
Sometimes I use TC when I simply need to backup a folder and overwrite the changed files rather than create their versions. Since my folders often contain thousands of small files scattered across a folder tree, TC spends most of the time skipping the files. These files, thanks to a previous pass by Winrar, do not have the "arcive" attibute set, so TC can see that these have been backuped.
So, I would be happy to have 2 options in the copy dialog:
[ ] - copy only "archive" files
[ ] - remove the "archive" attribute after copy
I tried a couple of workarounds using the Search feature, they are unusable for this purpose.
What do you think?

You can use the second line in the copy dialog to filter by attribute, but you cannot reset the attribute this way.

I am also surprised that this useful feature (clearing archive attribute) is classified as unimportant for Total Commander, but you can setup a hotkey in customizable Start submenu to perform copy from source to target panel using xcopy /m. The /m switch is exactly you are looking for – xcopy takes only files with archive attribute and clears the attribute after copying.
