Is it possible to integrate an option to choose if 1 or more connections should be used for connecting to a ftp server?

I'm uploading many small files to my ftp server and only one file after the other is transmitted. It would be great if e.g. 3 - 5 connections would be possible so that up to 5 small files are transmitted simultaneously.

I remember when using Filezilla this was possible.

When you copy 5 files simultaneously they share the bandwidth, so what is the advantage?

The advantage is that the whole process runs in less time if you copy very small files.
