I expressed my motivation here

And @ghisler stated his view here

"Vollquotetrottel" is indeed above the limit, sorry, I must have missed it.
One who could read (and understand what read - greetings from Pisa ;) ) has a great advantage.

So you did not reveal a hidden motivation of mine but (at last) understood the theme of this thread.

BTW there is a difference between discuss moderators and discuss moderation.

norfie wrote: if Lefteous would be a moderator, our distinguished member icfu don't want to come back probably. At least icfu sayed so in German thread that in this case icfu want to resign ("Solltest Du Moderator werden, nehme ich meinen Hut, versprochen!").
Your a master in twisting facts: You are the cause that icfu leaved the forum. That has nothing to do with Lefteous. And apart from this you shouldn't feign that you regret icfus retirement.
norfie wrote: Please you should choose a proper title like "Let's start a hunt for a victim of icfus insult" next time
As I said, master of twistin facts: You did insult me and are spared from being 'official warned' by a fault of @ghisler until now. Reading your post it's like hearing you shout: 'Stop thief! He's got my knife in his back.'
norfie wrote: I know the theme of this thread from the very first beginning
Why do you then pretend you did not? Ah, tried to twist facts, I see.

What I would like to see my friend is for you to justify your provocative posts and not defend yourself by manipulating other members' posts.

If you think I have no arguments, please re-read this thread. I won't be repeating myself. That's not an insulting comment; please, re-read it!

If Clo is guilty on the specific case he is only guilty on the specific case. Don't place on the same balance a repetitive provocative style and a momentary lapse.

Now, your turn. Just pick one by one all the links Sheepdog has pointed out about your provocative nature and prove the opposite. Then I'll start to respect you more. But don't start looking for my momentary lapses. I'm sure you'll find a lot. At least I have the courage to admit that and exclude myself from applying to be included in the moderators' list. As for you, you had the temerity to suggest yourself as one of the moderators while this whole ado was about you in the first place, i.e. the provocative nature goes on!

These are only post that provoke icfu. I had not so much time (and patience) to search for all of norfies provokations.

I don't need to justify anything to you.

It's done already in this thread and the corresponding german thread. Didn't you read it, did you?

Reading Norfie's posts, I start thinking if a subscription to this forum is really worth enough for not insulting him...

I mean, I wouldn't mind if I'm "officially warned" by the fact of insulting Norfie. It's the natural reaction of a human after reading his posts. :twisted:

No more to say... :D

To me? No! I was referring to the whole forum members. Let's exclude me!

>It's done already in this thread and the corresponding german thread.

Really!!! That contradicts your previous comment where you clear declare that you have nothing to justify to me! Careful there!

> Didn't you read it, did you?

It all looks Greek to me! I don't speak German, sorry! :D

I think that having a TC forum gives both positive and negative potential.

On the positive side, the forum allows us to
1. exchange tips for using TC;
2. exchange feature suggestions, refining the suggestions and noting problems; and
3. indirectly show potential new users that TC is important to many capable people.
In these ways, the forum helps to ensure the continued viability of TC.

On the negative side, the forum allows us to
1. use our time for reading through interpersonal material;
2. use Christian's time for reading through interpersonal material; and
3. indirectly discourage potential new users of TC.

The great majority of posters, of all personalities, clearly care about TC. Although some of the conversations appear to be between a small group of people, in fact there may be 20 silent readers for every poster.

As a newcomer to the TC forum and to forums in general, I resolved to avoid giving offense to people with different technical knowledge, with different language backgrounds, and with different personalities. (I hope that this post is not an exception in itself.) I also resolved to deal with any negative remarks by responding only to technical material.

For me, the important thing is that TC continue to be developed.
