Pin "Find Files/Search for" mask

Post by *wanderer »

In "Find Files/Search for" string, the dropdown list supports up to 20 items. If a user performs many searches, he might loose a special and frequently-used search string. Is there a way to pin a string in that list? If not, it would be great to have such a feature.

Perhaps this would also be useful in the "Find text" field.

In other words, in each combobox where the user can enter a text and the combobox contains its history, it would be nice to be able to "pin" certain items.

Normally using latest TC on:

x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

You can save and load searches using Load/Save tab or redirect
"SearchIn" "SearchName" "SearchText" sections to read only file and reload if needed.

You can increase this now via wincmd.ini section [Configuration], just add the line
MaxItemsInComboBox=50
(example for 50 entries).

Thanks. This is useful for frequently used items in all sessions.

Ah, nice. Thanks. This is useful for frequently used items in the current session. If you perform many custom searches and want to reuse an older one.
