Search (Alt+F7) does not see .cdr files

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Search (Alt+F7) does not see .cdr files

Post by *nemadeka »

9.0a on Win7 ultimate Russian does not see nundreds of *.cdr files in a folder tree. Even if I copy-paste the extension into the search field.
It does see all the other files. It does see *.cdr files if I search for *.*

TC 7.57 on WinXP Pro Russian, over a LAN, does see these *.cdr files in the same folder. Even if I simply type the extension in US English layout.

These CorelDraw files have been saved on a Polish Windows.

Check the actual type of these files (exact character codes!). Also check for invisible characters (especially spaces) after the type.
We are not so S.M.A.R.T. as we imagine...

I thought that if I copy-paste the extension (see my message), TC somehow must be able to see them.

Hehe, looks like my current issue with copying files is related to the above problem. (And still unresolved?)

Do you see the files after pressing Ctrl+F10 (Menu Show > All Files)? Do you see the files when you start TC with default settings via

Code: Select all

totalcmd.exe /i="%temp%\fresh.ini"
