Can have TC Installer for developers for their own software?

Hello,

I'm not sure where to post this suggestion, since there is no "off-topic" thread.

I do really like simplicity and beauty of TC installer, so I'm curious if it possible to release it for developers, so they can use it as installer for their software.

Maybe as a freeware or free for developers who own TC license, with possibility to buy it for few euros.

I'm also a freeware software developer and having a nice and simple installer would be awesome since using something like InstallShield or Setup2go is just too bloated for small programs [under 20 mb].

From an administrative point of view I really like InnoSetup. Most of the setup's options can be controlled by command line switches.

Actually I've been looking for a way to switch to MSI installer for a while now. Unfortunately I couldn't find an affordable installer with all the features my own installer has, like multiple language support, normal install or update etc.

I know about NSIS and InnoSetup but I don't like them at all. I do like Setup2go but not as much as TC installer.

It's simple, it does it's job and best of it is that it does not require any special software like NET framework or Windows Installer just to run.

TC is first thing that I install when I set up a new computer so I can quickly restore backups from external drives and install stuff from server. Last thing I want to do is install net framework and other bloatware just to be able to install TC.

Mr. Ghisler, I think, better than looking for new installer, would be releasing source of your own installer to other developers and let them expand and enhace it.

When it comes to free MSI installers I guess there's no way around the WiX toolset.

The Nearshore development company is currently under construction. Nearshore's software development program allows any company to hire remote developers when requested. Just try more info here as it is really good. If specialists are needed in a specific field right now, the need for their services may not be needed after a while.
