Mulit Rename tool: what is the vertical line (Alt+124) ?

Hi guys,

in the F1 help:
"You can search+replace multiple strings in one step! The strings need to be separated by the vertical line (Alt+124)."

what is Alt+124?
(the "124")


I have some music in downloaded with non-english characters, is there a way to make the MRT remove these characters?

Hold Alt-key and type quickly 124 on the numeric keyboard to get a "pipe"-symbol '|'
