Create custom view for 2 extensions (so to speak)

Post by *bwh »

Hello all,

I wasn't able to find what I'm looking for through several keyword searches, if I was just blind, please redirect me to the answer.

I have subtitle names that are stored like

X-Men Days of Future Past (2014).en.srt
X-Men Days of Future Past (2014).tr.srt

This naming scheme allows the players to recognize the language of the subtitle.

It looks terrible on my lists though, I keep the extensions seperated but the language part gets plastered to the file name. Can I have a custom view that would have 3 columns?
1- File name until first dot
2- The language identifier between first and second dot
3- The final extension

Try to use Expander2 content plugin. It can separate part of filename by custom separators.

You should base your language search on the latest dot of the name as the film title can contain valid dot.

IF YOU HAVE NORMALIZED FILENAME (two letter language code), you can simply use a new lang column with only the last two letters of the name . [=tc.name:-2-]
