The second window does not respond (hangs)

Post by *makinero »

Bug1: The second window does not respond (hangs) if it performs "Find for files"
on a large catalog.
For comparison Explorer is stable multi-threaded

Bug2:
Deleting 2000 files takes a long time if a large directory (100k subfolders)

1. TC search can be started in a seperate process
with almost no influence on the other 2 windows.
I make this with a button and there is no problem to continue normal work.

2. Taking time to delete large number of files or dirs is in not a bug.

Please don't start again your usual comparisons to other "better" programs.

makinero,
Configuration - Options - Operation - Copy comments with files?
Delete to Recycle Bin?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

But in both programs, deleting files takes many hours.
On the previous screen will show how many files are removed with sizes up to 50KB.
A few hours, still not removed everything else. The process continues ...

That is not a TC window.
And it is not even proper English in that window - it is probably a mockup...

Try VistaDelete=-1 in your wincmd.ini file - it will make TC delete the same way Explorer does (to recycle bin though).

So it is not a TC bug.

Be careful with your word choice.
