As there are already several plugins which are not freeware I'd like to know your opinion on paid plugins (commercial/shareware). Do you use them? If not, why?

I voted for "No, I don't need them". That means I currently don't need any of the existing commerial plugins. That doesn't mean I wouldn't pay for a commercial which is indispensably for me. Such a plugin hasn't been released yet.

That's what I've meant.
The point should be rather: "No, I don't need any of currently existing commercial ones".

Of course it's possible that one day a new paid plugin will appear which will be worth of its price.

I do not use plugins that are not for free and I probably never will. I cannot spare much money for software. And I've learned that for almost all purposes I need software there is a freeware solution.

Maybe it would be different, if I would work with PC for business and not only private.

So I voted for 'No, I just don't want to pay for plugins'.

I voted "No, I just don't want to pay for plugins".
:P

There are always alternative plugins that are free and in the worst case scenario, always some freeware available that can be called from TC using the button bar or the user menu.
:D

And come on, those "shareware" plugins failed so miserably that nobody remembers them.

I suppose that if there was such a plugin - TC would have more fans and the average age of TC user would increase :-)

Well, you forgot to add a point "I don't give a sh**". This is my opinion on paid plugins problem literally.[/face]

What if a plugin you really rely on, suddenly goes shareware? Would anyone buy it just to use it further?

The answer is in almost all posts above. :-)

It depends on the fact how much I need it, if I can replace it or use standalone tool and of course on its price.

Is there a plugin which seems to be indispensable i.e. your work depeds on it? Without TC I definitely cannot work (as read in someone's signature here in the forum: "memo to boss: no TC, no work" ;-) ), but i dont have any plugin which I really rely on. But then again, I use many :-)

I also use a big (really big) number of plugins everyday and I'm glad of it. Of course I could use other tools if I didn't have the plugins or had to pay for them. I don't think that there is such a plugin for which I'd like to pay until I can find another free solution in the net.
Of course it's great that it's possible to integrate so many tools in TC. And it's graet that there are so many people giving their time and knowlegde to us (I mean authors of all the plugins) - THANK YOU to you all.

Thanks to the plugins TC has become much more powerful.

I totally agree with you.
