How-to remove Partition letter of Windows security partition

Post by *Monty »

Hello,
I like that on each panel appear the letters of the units that I have, both PC and external but I also see the unit of a security partition that automatically creates windows 10 for recovery cases and I do not want that letter to appear anymore. that with that partition I do not work at all. How can I make it not appear? This was after formatting the hard drive because before that, I did not see that letter

To remove the letter from the system, go to Windows Disk Management and remove the drive letter there by right-clicking on it and selecting "Change Drive Letter and Paths".

If you want TC to hide it, take a look at the DriveBarHide setting in TC help section 4.b, although I'm not sure if this also hides the drive in the drive list.

To hide it in the drive list too, use the Allowed= option in wincmd.ini. Don't forget to include a backslash if you want to keep the network neighborhood, e.g.:
allowed=CDE\
