False alarm ([9.20rc2] Files - Associate With crashes TC)

Post by *Hacker »

Hi,
TC 9.12, TC 9.20 RC2, both 32-bit and 64-bit, fresh INI.
Windows 7 64-bit.

Something seems to be wrong with my *.mp4 association.
When I wanted to check using TC using Alt-F, A, TC crashed immediately.
If I press Alt, F, A slowly or if I use the mouse, TC does not crash.
If I press Alt-F, A quickly, TC crashes.
This happens regardless of what extension the cursor currently is on (*.mp4, *.jpg, *.pdf).

No idea what is going on here but I think TC shouldn't crash.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

No chance to reproduce it in my environment.
It never crashes regardless of my speed in hitting Alt-F A

TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.3, Listary Pro 6.3.0.73

petermad, Horst.Epp,
Well, as I said, I think something is wrong with my associations. I don't really think this can be reproduced unless someone can reproduce my associations problem as well. So I just wonder if there is anything that TC can do not to crash while loading the associations list or so.

EDIT: I was completely wrong. It just happened on a totally different computer running Windows 10 where I thought I'd test it just for fun. So this might not be related to my associations at all.

EDIT2: OK, never mind, sorry for the trouble. On both computers I have an AHK script running that when I press Alt-A performs some actions including typing Alt-Q, which is Quit in TC's menu. False alarm.
