Whoa, relax, it was just a suggestion. :P
I just wonder how many people still use parallel cable transfer? It's been at least 10 years since any PC even came with this interface if you look closely.
Removing useless functions (and even here some features probably never used since 10 years) is a good thing: less code to test when you want to add new functions, less potential bugs, less possible flaws to exploit, less possible bad manipulation for beginners, lighter program (size and ram occupation) etc.
I don't mind, it's just an idea to make the developer's job easier.
"Less is More"
OK then I won't say anything (what's the point of the suggestion forum?) :|
Bye

Marc23,
what's the point of the suggestion forum?
Proposing and discussing suggestions.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Removing useless functions
Why was FTP removed from browsers?
FTP is an outdated protocol that is not as secure as more modern protocols like HTTPS. Browsers are removing FTP support because it is not as safe as other protocols and because there are better alternatives available.
Who "the hell" cares?
less code to test
If tested once, should it be tested next time?
lighter program (size and ram occupation)
Is this definitely about modern software?
