You write [9.21a x64] in the subject, but the error you show is for 32bit TC - and IniEd seems to only be available in 32bit: http://totalcmd.net/plugring/inied.html

Actually it is in TC 64-bit - the stack trace shows "Stack trace (x64):".

But unfortunately all addresses are within the Lazarus libraries, nothing in my code. I guess that the plugin somehow corrupts TC data and causes a crash that way.

What file are you trying to view?
Does it happen with all files?
Does it happen with F3?

Hmm, I just wonder how thomasmolover managed to install the 32bit iniEd in 64bit TC - unless there are more versions than this: http://totalcmd.net/plugring/inied.html available.

BTW I installed IniEd in 32bit TC 9.21a and used Ctrl+Q on some .ini, .inf, .reg and .url files - all worked fine.

EDIT: I found this: http://stayathome.ho.ua/files/ and installed the wlx_inied_2.0_BETA3.7z - no errors yet.

It may be a problem with non-standard ini content (Chinese characters, tabs etc.), see older topics…
