You could do another test with a TC_clean.ini.

So I can't confirm the thread starters behaviour, at least in a normal environment.
Hmm, If I pack a -tz file with tc=on and ta=on and then unpack it from TC (open archive -> F5), and I use a fresh wincmd.ini file (hence internal 7zip unpacker is used), then the files are unpacked with creationdate and accesdate modified to current date.

If I unpack the files with my daily TC wincmd.ini file (hence .tz is associated with the Total7zip plugin), then the creationdate and accessdate are preserved. So I cannot confirm Horst.Epp's observation.

Notice - I do not have 7zip installed as a program in my Windows (I only have the 7zip program files in a subfolder to my total7zip plugin folder).
Maybe this makes a difference - could TC's intenal TC7Z64.DLL maybe be using features from 7zip if installed as a program?

You are right, i tested again with a fresh Ini file, previously I only had disabled the Total7zip plugin.
The creation date is only restored with the plugin.

I only had disabled the Total7zip plugin
How? - With Plugins Manager (by Alexey Torgashin)? - Did you remember to restart TC after disabeling total7zip? Did you also remember to disable the 7zip plugin (by Adam Strzelecki), in case you have it installed? (7zip plugin also preserves creationdate and accessdate).

Yes, with Plugins Manager.
I restart TC after changes made with Plugins Manager.
No other 7z plugin installed.

I tried with Plugins Manager too - but I get the same results as when I use a clean ini file. I used the Restart button in Plugins Manager to restart TC.
