POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin - Master Password feature?

Post by *pertheli »

Hello Andre.

Currently, I have a number of pop3 connections with password saved in TC. So while I'm away, anybody with access to TC also has access to my pop3 accounts!

A master password entry box to enable all the pop3 connections would be really helpful...

I'm wondering if this feature is useful at all...

Thanks

Hm - I do not understand why you save your passwords when other users have access to your computer and TC?!? It is more secure to leave the password field blank (you will be asked automatically for the password the first time you try to connect the server).
Browse the web with the HTTP SmartBrowserPlugin
Check your mails with the POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin!

Well, if you have a number of pop3 connections with different passwords, then its would be handy to save those passwords in pop3 config.... which then would be opened by a single master password... kind of a luxury...

Hm - this is very complicated to implement because the encryption algorithem needs to use different encryption schemes depending on the master pwd otherwise malicious users can access your accounts just by modifying the ini file...
